This season hasn't been kind to the Weatherford Express HomeSchool Express, who are still winless after their fifth contest. They were dealt a 80-17 loss at the hands of Community Christian on Thursday. Weatherford Express HomeSchool was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 39-9.
Community Christian's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from David Blackburn, who scored 16 points along with seven rebounds and six steals. Blackburn hasn't dropped below two steals for 14 straight games. Another player making a difference was Price Horton, who scored 20 points along with seven rebounds and six assists.
Weatherford Express HomeSchool's defeat was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 0-5. As for Community Christian, the victory was the 14th in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 16-1.
Weatherford Express HomeSchool will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Stephenville FAITH at 7:30 p.m. on January 5th. After both having extra time off, Community Christian and Atlas Prep will dust off their jerseys to square off against one another at 11:00 a.m. on January 4th. Atlas Prep is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
