The Pinewood Christian Patriots pushed their score all the way to 49 on Friday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell to Frederica Academy 54-49. Despite running the score up even higher than they did last Friday (35), Pinewood Christian still had to take the loss.
Several Patriots players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Banks Booth, who threw for 388 yards and five touchdowns, and also caught a touchdown. Another player making a difference was Walker Todd, who picked up 192 receiving yards and three touchdowns.
Jordan Triplett got back to being his usual excellent self, as he rushed for 404 yards and seven touchdowns while picking up 10.1 yards per carry. Triplett really tore up the turf during one magnificent 77-yard run.
Pinewood Christian now has a losing record at 4-5. As for Frederica Academy, their win bumped their record up to an identical 4-5.
Pinewood Christian will be playing at home against Bulloch Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Bulloch Academy has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 160 points over their last four games. As for Frederica Academy, they will head out on the road to face off against St. Andrew's at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. That game will pit two of the most dominant backs against one another: Richaard Williams and Triplett.
