Stone Memorial walked away with a 57-44 victory over DeKalb County on Thursday. Given Stone Memorial's advantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee basketball rankings (they are ranked 56th, while DeKalb County is ranked 243rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
It was another big night for Cade Capps, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and ten rebounds. He also posted two blocks for the first time this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Brady Lane, who scored ten points along with eight rebounds.
Stone Memorial is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine games, which provided a nice bump to their 19-8 record this season. As for DeKalb County, they are on an eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 9-15.
