Princeton is a perfect 10-0 against Hall since April of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. The Tigers will head out on the road to take on the Red Devils at 4:30 p.m. After the two teams made easy work of their previous opponents, one won't be so lucky on Monday.
Princeton's pitching crew heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Saturday. They were the clear victors by a 14-0 margin over Bloomington Central Catholic. The result was nothing new for the Tigers, who have now won ten contests by seven runs or more so far this season.
Avah Oertel and Izzy Gibson did most of the damage at the plate: Oertel went 2-for-3 with three runs, three RBI, and one stolen base, while Gibson went 3-for-4 with three RBI, one triple, and one run. That's the most RBI Gibson has posted since back in April. Keely Lawson was another key player, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with three runs.
They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Princeton kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. They are 14-1 when they post 11 or more hits.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Hall). They blew past Monmouth-Roseville 16-6 on Friday. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Red Devils as it put an end to their four-game losing streak.
Madison Krewer spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and four unearned) runs on nine hits and racked up seven Ks.
On the hitting side, Hall got a massive performance out of Bernie Larsen, who went 4-for-5 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI. That triple was Larsen's first of the season. Another player making a difference was Charlie Pellegrini, who got on base in four of her five plate appearances with three runs and two RBI.
Hall's victory bumped their record up to 5-16. As for Princeton, their win bumped their record up to 16-7.
Hall's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Princeton has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .432. It's a different story for Hall, though, as they've only averaged .353. Will they be able to contain Princeton's hitters?
Everything went Princeton's way against Hall when the teams last played back in May of 2025, as Princeton made off with a 12-2 victory. Do the Tigers have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Red Devils turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
