The North Miami Warriors will take on the North Judson-San Pierre Bluejays at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
On Friday, North Miami got the win against Culver Community by a conclusive 12-2. The win continues a trend for the Warriors in their matchups with the Cavaliers: they've now won five in a row.

North Miami's victory was truly a team effort as seven different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Jake Riley, who went 3-for-4 with four stolen bases, three runs, and one triple. Riley is on a roll when it comes to triples, as he's now hit at least one in each of the last three games he's played. Another was Isaac Floyd, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs and one stolen base.
North Miami always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .562. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Culver Community only posted an OBP of .318.
Meanwhile, North Judson-San Pierre waltzed into their match on Saturday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They were the clear victors by a 15-4 margin over the Oilers.
Ayson Harper made a splash no matter where he played. On the mound, he kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out seven over 4.2 innings pitched. Those seven strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. He has become a key player for North Judson-San Pierre: the team is 9-2 when he posts at least two runs, but 3-7 otherwise.
In other batting news, Brock Benson was incredible, going 3-for-4 with three stolen bases, three RBI, and one run. North Judson-San Pierre is 6-1 when Benson posts three or more RBI, but 6-8 otherwise. Trey McGowen was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI.
North Judson-San Pierre's win bumped their record up to 12-9. As for North Miami, their victory bumped their record up to 15-3.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Monday as neither team is afraid to steal. North Miami has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 4.7 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like North Judson-San Pierre struggles in that department as they've been averaging 3.5 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
North Miami couldn't quite get it done against North Judson-San Pierre in their previous matchup back in May of 2015 as they fell 5-2. Can the Warriors avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
