Harding saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Sam Dodd, who went 1-for-2 with two RBI and one double. That hit marked the first that Dodd has got this season. Payton Miller was another, getting on base in both of her plate appearances with one stolen base and one run.
Meanwhile, while Pymatuning Valley put up plenty of runs on Wednesday, the same can't be said for Harding. The Lakers were the clear victors by a 25-0 margin over the Skippers. The Lakers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine matches by six runs or more this season.
Mackenzie Kribbs was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out six over five innings pitched. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in four consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with three runs and one RBI. That's the most hits she has posted since back in May of 2024.
In other batting news, Pymatuning Valley got a massive performance out of McKenna Jordan, who went 3-for-4 with five RBI, three runs, and two doubles. Those two doubles gave Jordan a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Aislyn Fuller, who got on base in four of her five plate appearances with four runs and three RBI.
Pymatuning Valley always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .667. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Harding only posted an OBP of .263.
The victory made it two in a row for Pymatuning Valley and bumps their season record up to 9-3-1. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 4 runs in those games. As for Harding, their loss dropped their record down to 1-14.
Harding might still be hurting after the 25-0 defeat they got from Pymatuning Valley in their previous meeting on Wednesday. Can the Skippers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
