On Thursday, El Diamante is packing up and heading on the road for the first time this season. They face off against Tulare Union at 5:00 PM. Tulare Union will be strutting in after a win while El Diamante will be stumbling in from a loss.
Last Friday, El Diamante couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They were given a punishing 0-48 defeat at the hands of Tulare Western.
Meanwhile, Tulare Union took care of business in their home opener. They steamrollered Mt. Whitney 57-0.
El Diamante's loss took them down to 0-1 while Tulare Union's victory pulled them up to write [team] current record. A win for El Diamante would reverse both their bad luck and Tulare Union's good luck. We'll see if El Diamante manages to pull off that tough task or if Tulare Union keeps their momentum going instead.
