The Unity Christian Knights's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fifth straight loss. They ended up on the wrong side of a tough 60-40 walloping at the hands of Morning Star Academy. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat Unity Christian has suffered since December 4, 2023.
Unity Christian's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Samm Wilbur, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and ten rebounds, and Graham Foust who scored 11 points. That was a full 40% of Unity Christian's points, marking the third time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Unity Christian's loss was their ninth straight at home, which bumped their record down to 1-12. As for Morning Star Academy, the victory got them back to even at 7-7.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Unity Christian will take on Pathway Christian at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully Pathway Christian focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 28 on Saturday. As for Morning Star Academy, they will be playing at home against Galesburg Christian at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
