Superior is 1-9 against Hayden since April of 2021 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. Superior will be playing at home against Hayden at 1:30 p.m. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Superior will roll into the game after a wild two-game stretch: they only put up one run on Tuesday, then bounced right back against Ray on Friday. Superior came out on top against Ray by a score of 10-6. Considering the Panthers' hitters had been struggling lately, the high-scoring outing was a much-needed turnaround.
Joel Romero was a major factor no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out 12 batters over 5.2 innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit. Superior is undefeated when Romero posts eight or more strikeouts, but 3-4 otherwise. Romero was also stellar in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with one home run, four RBI, and one double. That's the most hits he has posted since back in April of 2024.

Meanwhile, Hayden waltzed into their matchup on Friday with two straight wins... but they left with three. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Miners a 7-0 shutout. The Lobos might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven contests by seven runs or more this season.
Hayden pushed their record up to 10-2 with the victory, which was their 18th straight at home dating back to last season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.2 runs over those games. As for Superior, their victory bumped their record up to 6-4.
