Tomah has gone a perfect 10-0 against La Crosse Central recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Timberwolves will head out on the road to face off against the Riverhawks at 4:30 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Tomah has three straight victories, La Crosse Central has four straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
Last Tuesday, Tomah earned a 5-2 win over Holmen.

Anna Wall spent all six innings played on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and one unearned) run on two hits and racked up 13 Ks. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't tossed less than 12 strikeouts any time she's pitched this season.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Brielle Plueger, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. The team also got some help courtesy of Grace Johnson, who went 2-for-3 with one run.
Tomah was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .440. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, La Crosse Central came up short against Holmen on Tuesday and fell 7-2.
La Crosse Central saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ellie Gillitzer, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one run. Elana Wagner also deserves some recognition as she brought in her first RBI of the season.
Tomah's victory bumped their record up to 3-1. As for La Crosse Central, their loss dropped their record down to 1-7.
La Crosse Central's hitters will have their work cut out for them on Thursday. Tomah has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 9.5 strikeouts per game. It's a different story for La Crosse Central, though, as they've been averaging only 3.4 strikeouts. Will Tomah keep running through batters, or will the Riverhawks buck the trend?
Tomah got the 'W' in their previous meeting back in May of 2025 against La Crosse Central by a conclusive 8-1 score. Do the Timberwolves have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Riverhawks turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
