Having just played yesterday, the Life Center Academy Warriors will head out on the road to face off against New Foundations at 5:30 p.m. on January 16th. Hopefully Life Center Academy is not getting complacent, as they presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than New Foundations in their respective states (Life Center Academy is ranked 132nd in New Jersey, while New Foundations is ranked 364th in Pennsylvania).
Life Center Academy unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-game winning streak on Monday. They took a 81-72 hit to the loss column at the hands of Our Saviour Lutheran. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Despite their loss, Life Center Academy saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Isaac Moore, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 16 rebounds, was perhaps the best of all. Moore has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last three times he's played. Another player making a difference was Elijah Brown, who scored 19 points along with five rebounds and two steals.
New Foundations suffered their biggest defeat yet this season on Friday. They took a serious blow against Solebury, falling 81-52. New Foundations has not had much luck with Solebury recently, as the team's come up short the last six times they've met.
Life Center Academy's record now sits at 18-8. New Foundations' record is now 6-4.
Everything came up roses for Life Center Academy against New Foundations in their previous meeting back in December of 2023 as the squad secured a 92-34 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Life Center Academy since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
