Everything went their way against the East Hardy Cougars as they made off with a 19-11 win. The Bulldogs might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six games by eight runs or more this season.
Jacob Wamsley was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He struck out nine batters over four innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits (and only one walk). He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances. He was also stellar in the batter's box, getting on base in five of his six plate appearances with three RBI, two runs, and one double. He is becoming a predictor of Tygarts Valley's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is undefeated (and 6-7 when he doesn't).
In other batting news, Tygarts Valley got a massive performance out of Austin Gear, who got on base in three of his six plate appearances with four RBI, one triple, and one run.
