Lake Country Christian's loss came despite strong showings from Gannon Mcelroy and Elijah Sherman. Mcelroy threw for 156 yards and three touchdowns, while Sherman picked up 126 receiving yards and two touchdowns. Sherman was no stranger to the big play, connecting with a big catch that went for 64 yards.
The win was the third in a row for Brazos Christian, bringing their record for this year to 5-4. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 32.3 points per game. As for Lake Country Christian, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 4-5.
