Pymatuning Valley has gone a perfect 6-0 against Windham recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Lakers will challenge the Bombers at 4:30 p.m. Pymatuning Valley is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 9.5 runs per game this season.
Pymatuning Valley is probably headed into the contest with a chip on their shoulder considering Maplewood just ended the team's five-game winning streak on Thursday. They fell 7-2 to the Rockets. Having soared to a lofty 16 runs in the game before, the Lakers couldn't push the score so high this time.
Peyton Hudson made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one home run.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Windham, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Wednesday. They were the clear victors by a 16-0 margin over Harding on Thursday. The Bombers haven't had any issues with the Skippers recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.
Brielle Jones was excellent, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with two stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI. That's the most runs she has posted over her last ten games. The team also got some help courtesy of Kierrah Sanders, who got on base in all four of her plate appearances with two stolen bases and three runs.
Windham always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .750. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Windham's record now sits at 7-12. As for Pymatuning Valley, their loss dropped their record down to 10-6.
Windham's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Pymatuning Valley has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 11.1 hits per game. It's a different story for Windham, though, as they've been averaging 8.7 hits. Given Pymatuning Valley's sizable advantage in that area, the Bombers will need to find a way to close that gap.
Pymatuning Valley got the 'W' in their previous matchup back in April of 2025 against Windham by a conclusive 18-4 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Lakers since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
