Dimmitt's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Mario Lopez led the charge by scoring 14 points. Those 14 points set a new season-high mark for him. Another player making a difference was Enrique Holguin, who scored 11 points.
Muleshoe has been struggling recently, as they've lost seven of their last eight matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-9 record this season. As for Dimmitt, their victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 6-14.
Muleshoe will take on Brownfield at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Brownfield presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Muleshoe in Texas (Brownfield is ranked 279th, while Muleshoe is ranked 1242nd). As for Dimmitt, they will head out on the road to face off against Denver City at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
