After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Lewisville, Lamar was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Wagener-Salley War Eagles a 10-0 shutout. The Silver Foxes might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight matches by seven runs or more this season.

The result came thanks to Jayzon Parnell's shutout, as he gave up just four hits and racked up 11 Ks. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Lamar is 3-1 when he allows at most two earned runs, but 8-9 otherwise.

At the plate, Cody Barr was a standout: he got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases, three RBI, and one run. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in March. Another player making a difference was Zoom Jackson, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases and three runs.

Lamar always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .516. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Wagener-Salley only posted an OBP of .320.

Lamar now has a winning record of 11-10. As for Wagener-Salley, their loss was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 8-12.

As of now, neither Lamar nor the War Eagles have any future games scheduled.
