Chase County walked away with a 39-27 win over Perkins County on Thursday. That's another feather in the cap for Chase County, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Despite the defeat, Perkins County saw an underclassman step up: Madison Potts scored 13 points.
Perkins County struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only two offensive rebounds. That's the fewest offensive rebounds they've managed all season.
Chase County's victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 5-6. As for Perkins County, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-5.
Chase County will be playing in front of their home fans against Gothenburg on Friday. Gothenburg is coming into the game hot, having won their last eight games. As for Perkins County, they will head out on the road to face off against Wauneta-Palisade at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Wauneta-Palisade focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 20 last Saturday.
