West Rowan is a perfect 9-0 against Lake Norman Charter since March of 2022 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. West Rowan will face off against Lake Norman Charter at 4:00 p.m. West Rowan is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.8 runs per game this season.

On Friday, West Rowan had just enough and edged out South Rowan 5-4. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Falcons.

Arabelle Shulenburger spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned (and one unearned) runs on seven hits. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than two walks any time she's pitched this season.

At the plate, West Rowan let Reese Poole and EA Nance run wild. Poole went 1-for-4 with one home run and two runs, while Nance went 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI.

Meanwhile, Lake Norman Charter was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of Northwest Cabarrus.

Lake Norman Charter saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Morgan Gadd, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3. Kendall Ruffolo also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.

West Rowan's victory was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 8-2. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 10.2 runs this season. As for Lake Norman Charter, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-6.

West Rowan came out on top in a nail-biter against Lake Norman Charter in their previous matchup back in February, sneaking past 13-11. The rematch might be a little tougher for West Rowan since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
