Interlachen is a perfect 9-0 against Peniel Baptist Academy since February of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. On Tuesday, Interlachen made easy work of Crescent City and carried off a 12-2 victory. The result was nothing new for the Rams, who have now won seven matchups by seven runs or more so far this season.
Gavin Eubanks made a splash while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Eubanks was also big at the plate, going a perfect 1-for-1 with two stolen bases and one double.

In other batting news, Rodney Blackwelder was a standout: he got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. Interlachen is undefeated when Blackwelder posts two or more runs, but 5-7 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Devon Williams, who scored a run and stole four bases while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances.
Interlachen always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .514. That was just more of the same: they've now posted an OBP of .500 or higher in four consecutive games.
Meanwhile, Peniel Baptist Academy lost 17-1 to Palatka on Tuesday.
Interlachen's win bumped their record up to 9-7. As for Peniel Baptist Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 6-9.
Thursday's contest might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Interlachen has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .464. However, it's not like Peniel Baptist Academy struggles in that department as they've averaged .455. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
