Saugus (Calif.) bested
West Ranch (Valencia, Calif.) 43-14 on Saturday.
After taking the lead on a Rupe touchdown run in the second quarter, the Centurions were up 22-7 at the half.
Saugus grew its lead to 22 points entering the fourth quarter. SHS scored once in the quarter on a touchdown run by Rupe.
The Wildcats came in allowing just 17.1 points per game this season. West Ranch struggled against Saugus' offense, who entered the game scoring 28.3 points per game. Saugus entered the contest giving up 20.4 points per game this year. The defense really stepped up, holding WR below its season average of 19.9 points scored per game.
