The Hutto Hippos will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against the Weiss Wolves at 7:00 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.
Last Friday, Hutto took a serious blow against the Vikings, falling 83-51. Hutto has not had much luck with the Vikings recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
Meanwhile, Weiss' recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight defeat. Their tough 61-38 defeat to Midway might stick with them for a while. While losing is never fun, Weiss can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 1041st, while the Panthers are ranked 135th).
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from Serese Williams, who scored seven points.
Hutto's loss dropped their record down to 14-19. As for Weiss, they dropped their record down to 1-25 with that defeat, which was their tenth straight at home.
Everything came up roses for Hutto against the Wolves in their previous meeting back in January as the team secured a 63-36 victory. Will Hutto repeat their success, or do the Wolves have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
