The Pikes Peak Christian Eagles had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 16.5 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Saturday. They narrowly escaped with a  victory as the  squad sidled past Bethune  38-35. For Pikes Peak Christian, this counts as revenge for the   33-31 defeat the Bobcats walked away with the last time they faced one another  back in December of 2023.
  Sarah Harris continued  her habit of posting crazy stat lines,  scoring 13 points along with seven  steals and six  rebounds. Harris is crushing the  steal category: she's  posted at least two every time she's  taken the court this season.  Rebecca Thomas was another key contributor,  scoring eight points along with five  steals.
 Despite the loss, Bethune still got an impressive performance from   Madilyn Powell, who  scored 22 points along with five  steals. It was the first time this season that  Powell  scored 15 or more points. The team also got some help courtesy of  Samantha Robinson, who  scored two points along with 13  rebounds and eight  steals.
 Pikes Peak Christian has  been performing  well recently as they've  won five of their last six contests,  which provided a nice bump to their 5-4 record this season. As for Bethune, they now  have a losing record at 4-5.
 Pikes Peak Christian will head out on the road to  face off against  the Pioneers at 6:30  p.m.  on Tuesday. Cripple Creek-Victor is coming into the  game on a three-game losing streak. As for Bethune, they will play host again and welcome the Eagles, where tip off is scheduled for 5:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked  in Colorado (Deer Trail is ranked 242nd, while the Bobcats are ranked 266th).
