The Lakeview Charter Lions lost to the Lake Balboa College Prep Cougars back in February, but the Lakeview Charter Lions didn't allow the Lake Balboa College Prep Cougars the same satisfaction on Wednesday. Lakeview Charter had just enough and edged Lake Balboa College Prep out 49-46. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Lakeview Charter.
Several Cougars players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was ARMEN BOURSALIAN, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and 12 rebounds. BOURSALIAN is absolutely dominating the steal category: he's posted at least two every time he's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of ASHOT ABRAMYAN, who scored eight points along with seven rebounds.
Lakeview Charter's win bumped their record up to 4-5. As for Lake Balboa College Prep, they have fallen quite a ways from their 13-5 record last season and are now at 1-4.
Lakeview Charter's road trip will continue as they head out to face Hart at 6:00 p.m. on December 26th. Lake Balboa College Prep won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against University Pathways Medical Magnet at 5:15 p.m. on December 14th. University Pathways Medical Magnet is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'.
