Irene/Wakonda and Viborg/Hurley played the closest game in Tri-Valley (9 Man) this week, with Irene/Wakonda eventually emerging with a 8-6 victory. Cody Geuther ran for 74 yards and caught 1 pass for 16 yards in the win.
Alcester-Hudson led the league in scoring this week by notching 53 points on Centerville.
Lane Van Hull made the biggest impact on defense this week as the Cougars fell to the Eagles. The 5-foot-11 senior racked up 1 sack.
Geuther was the best running back in the league this week. He ran for 74 yards on 13 carries as Irene/Wakonda fell to Irene/Wakonda. Teammate Garrett Anderson added to the ground attack by rushing for 37 yards.
Viborg/Hurley's offense cannot be tamed this season and the Cougars feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Jack Huether has thrown for 963 yards and 8 touchdowns this season, while Kludt has 20 catches for 368 yards. Huether also leads the league in rushing with 835 yards.
