Softball Recap: 12 Points Gets It Done Again for Centennial

After low-scoring totals in their previous two contest, Centennial brought some dynamite into their most recent matchup. They came out on top against the Syracuse Rockets on Thursday by a score of 12-1 (the very same score they lost by in their prior game). The Broncos might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four games by six runs or more this season.

Centennial saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Emery Menze, who went 2-for-4 while logging 3 RBIs, 1 stolen base, and 1 run. Those three RBIs set a new season-high mark for Menze.

Centennial hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. That's the fewest strikeouts they have managed all season.

Centennial's win brought them up to 4-5. As for Syracuse, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost 10 of their last 11 matchups, dating back to last year. That leaves them at a 1-8 record this season.

Centennial will take on York in a tournament on Saturday. As for Syracuse, they will venture away from home to challenge Douglas County West at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
