After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Central Heights, Diboll was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They put the hurt on the Newton Eagles with a sharp 19-1 victory. The result was nothing new for the Lumberjacks, who have now won nine matchups by six runs or more so far this season.

Diboll is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-6-1 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.7 runs over those games. As for Newton, they dropped their record down to 3-17 with the defeat, which was their sixth straight on the road.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Diboll will face off against Huntington at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Lumberjacks 4, the Red Devils 1.8) so any runs scored will be well earned. As for Newton, they will square off against Pollok Central at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Eagles are facing the Bulldogs at the right time seeing as the Bulldogs are stuck on a seven-game losing streak.
