Chatham has been on the road for nine straight, but on Thursday they'll finally head home. They will take on the Sparta Spartans at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully Chatham is not getting complacent, as they presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Sparta in New Jersey (Chatham is ranked sixth, while Sparta is ranked 126th).
Last Saturday, Chatham strolled past Pequannock with points to spare, taking the game 54-37.
Meanwhile, after a string of four wins, Sparta's good fortune finally ran out on Monday. They fell 30-19 to Jefferson Township. After a 70-39 finish the last time they played, Sparta and Jefferson Township decided to play a little more cautiously this time around.
Chatham's victory bumped their record up to 19-1. As for Sparta, their defeat was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 7-14.
Everything came up roses for Chatham against Sparta in their previous matchup back in January as the squad secured a 51-24 victory. Will Chatham repeat their success, or does Sparta have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
