After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Woodside, The Carlmont Scots were happy to have found some success on Friday. They came out on top against Fremont by a score of 43-33. This was one game where the offenses had no trouble playing at a high level.
Braeden Kumer was his usual excellent self, rushing for 238 yards and a touchdown while picking up 8.2 yards per carry. Kumer hasn't dropped below 100 rushing yards for five straight games. Another player making a difference was Christian Booth, who rushed for 30 yards and two touchdowns.
Despite the loss, Fremont still got an impressive performance from Alexander Solarez, who rushed for 155 yards and a touchdown on only ten carries. Solarez's longest rush was for an incredible 85 yards. The team also got some help courtesy of Jordan Mckinney, who picked up 62 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
Carlmont has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a massive bump to their 3-7 record this season. As for Fremont, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-3.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Carlmont will take on Sequoia at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Fremont, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Homestead at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Homestead is coming into the matchup on a six-game losing streak.
