Sterling is 9-1 against Wisdom since January of 2019, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Sterling Raiders will be playing at home against the Wisdom Generals at 8:30 p.m. Sterling has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 1,750 points over their last 24 matches.
Sterling can now show off 13 landslide victories after their most recent contest on Tuesday. They blew past Northside 81-49 on the road. Given Sterling's advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 466th, while Northside is ranked 1213th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Darnell Williams continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 21 points along with four steals. He hasn't dropped below two steals for eight straight games. Joshua Augustine was another key contributor, scoring 13 points.
Meanwhile, Wisdom's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their 11th straight defeat. They were dealt a 94-54 defeat at the hands of Madison. Wisdom was down 77-35 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.
Sterling is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 17-7 record this season. As for Wisdom, they dropped their record down to 2-18 with that loss, which was their fifth straight at home.
Everything came up roses for Sterling against Wisdom in their previous meeting back in January as the squad secured a 90-27 win. Does Sterling have another victory up their sleeve, or will Wisdom turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
