Despite the loss, Cypress saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Garrison Manzanarez picked up 3.5 sacks and made six total tackles. Justin Hall also set a new season-high mark in passing yards with 330. Matt Rodriguez was another key player, picking up 120 receiving yards and one TD.
