Decatur came tearing into Tuesday's contest with six straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 11 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They put the hurt on the Eagle Mountain Knights with a sharp 11-1 win. The result was nothing new for the Eagles, who have now won 11 games by six runs or more so far this season.

Cooper House was a standout: he scored two runs while going 2-for-2. He has become a key player for Decatur: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two runs, but 7-13-1 otherwise. Ryder Hanley was another key player, scoring two runs while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

Decatur hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. The team has now struck out at least five batters in four consecutive matchups.

Decatur's victory was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 15-13-1. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.5 runs on average over those games. As for Eagle Mountain, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last eight contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-13 record this season.
