After losing to the Oak Hall Eagles the last time they met, the Trenton Tigers decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. Trenton came out on top in a nail-biter against Oak Hall on Monday and snuck past 51-48. The victory was all the more spectacular given Trenton's disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 433rd, while Oak Hall is ranked 37th).
Leading Trenton to victory were Zander Grant and Mason VunCannon. Grant scored 15 points, while VunCannon scored 20 points along with 6 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Dax Becker, who scored 7 points along with 8 rebounds.
The victory got Trenton back to even at 2-2. As for Oak Hall, their loss dropped their record down to 3-1.
Trenton will head out on the road to face off against Bell at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Oak Hall, they will be playing at home against Interlachen at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
