Frontier School of Excellence will be playing in front of their home fans against Training Center Christian at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in Missouri (Frontier School of Excellence is ranked 349th, while the are ranked 346th).
Last Tuesday, Frontier School of Excellence came up short against the Crusaders and fell 52-43.
Despite their loss, Frontier School of Excellence saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Henry Uti, who scored 18 points, was perhaps the best of all. Jakeem Davis was another key contributor, scoring 11 points.
Meanwhile, Training Center Christian had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 11.3 points), and they went ahead and made it four on Tuesday. They breezed by Frontier STEM at home to the tune of 64-32. The match was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 36-15.
Training Center Christian found their leader in underclassman Creed Lopez, who scored 27 points along with six steals and five assists. Lopez is crushing the steal category: he's posted at least two every time he's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Dallas Doll, who almost dropped a double-double on 15 points and nine rebounds.
Frontier School of Excellence's defeat dropped their record down to 7-4. As for Training Center Christian, they pushed their record up to 8-4 with that win, which was their third straight at home.
Frontier School of Excellence skirted past the 49-46 in their previous matchup back in February of 2023. Does Frontier School of Excellence have another victory up their sleeve, or will the turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
