Germantown found a leader in Mackenzie Donnell as the team took down Florence on Friday. Donnell wasn't messing around, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only one hit while striking out seven over five innings pitched. The pitching appearance was her sixth straight with two or fewer walks.

Looking ahead, Donnell and Germantown will head out on the road to face off against Lewisburg at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. The Mavericks have some work to do to even out the 2-8 series between these two since May of 2016, but a win here would be a good start.
