The Trinity Catholic Celtics will face off against the Dunnellon Tigers at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams are strolling into their games after big wins in their previous games.
Trinity Catholic made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Crystal River, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Celtics blew past the Pirates 12-2 on Wednesday. That looming 12-2 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Celtics yet this season.

Nate Colon looked comfortable as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out six over four innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in March.
On the hitting side, Wyatt North was incredible, going 1-for-3 with one home run and four RBI. Those four RBI gave him a new career-high. Brian Rudman was another key player, scoring two runs while going 2-for-2.
Meanwhile, Dunnellon won against Lake Weir on Thursday with ten runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Tuesday. The Tigers' pitchers stepped up to hand West Port a 10-0 shutout. The win continues a trend for the Tigers in their matchups with the Wolf Pack: they've now won six in a row.
Draven White made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He also tossed no walks, which is notable because Dunnellon is undefeated when he allows at most one walk, but 8-13 otherwise. White was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run while going 1-for-1.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Brody Roland, who scored two runs and stole three bases while going 1-for-2. Dunnellon is undefeated when Roland posts two or more runs, but 7-13 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Jackson Turner, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 2-for-2.
Dunnellon always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .517. They are a perfect 5-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.
Dunnellon pushed their record up to 11-13 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.5 runs on average over those games. As for Trinity Catholic, their victory ended a six-game drought on the road and puts them at 7-16.
Trinity Catholic took their win against Dunnellon in their previous meeting back in March by a conclusive 7-1 score. Will the Celtics repeat their success, or do the Tigers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
