AAA District 11 recap Oct. 30, 2012
The biggest upset of the week belonged to Ravenwood, who took down 30th ranked Independence, 21-14.
The Raptors made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 3,751 from 4,566. The advance stemmed from a 21-14 victory over the Eagles last week.
Joe Critchlow and Colton Black gave Franklin a balanced attack through the air and ground last week. Critchlow threw for 116 yards and one touchdown, while Black ran for 129 yards. Colton Morrison also contributed to the rushing game with 18 yards on the ground.
Oscar Prado was the best wideout in AAA District 11 this week as Independence fell to Ravenwood. Prado tallied two receptions for 63 yards. Vic Wharton III helped Independence's passing attack out by catching two balls for 42 yards.
Graham Warren made the biggest impact on defense this week as the Rebels lost to Brentwood. The 6-foot-1 senior grabbed one sack.
6-foot-3 quarterback Critchlow of Franklin is the league leader in passing yards this season with 1216. He has also thrown 13 touchdowns. On the ground, the Bruins' Ben Green has rushed for 1205 yards which leads the league. The leading receiver in the league this season is Andy Schumpert. The Brentwood star has 19 catches for 463 yards.
