The Pinnacle Timberwolves lost against the Englewood Pirates back in January of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Pinnacle fell 61-48 to Englewood. The Pinnacle has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Despite the loss, The Pinnacle saw an underclassman step up: Caleb Arellano scored 26 points along with five rebounds and two steals. Arellano is trending in the right direction, as he's improved his point production for three games straight. Another player making a difference was Yahir Chavira, who scored six points along with five rebounds and two steals.
Englewood was led to victory by Dominic Dever and Jonah Singer. Dever scored 23 points, while Singer dropped a double-double on 14 points and 13 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Soren Singer, who dropped a double-double on ten points and ten rebounds.
The Pinnacle's defeat dropped their record down to 3-7. As for Englewood, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-10.
The Pinnacle will head out on the road to take on Arvada at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Englewood, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Lake County at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Lake County has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 183 points over their last three games.
