The Downtown Doral Dolphins will be home for the holidays to greet the Jewish Culture Lions at 3:30 p.m. on Monday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.
Downtown Doral's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. They took a serious blow against Calusa Prep, falling 70-31.
Despite the loss, Downtown Doral got a solid performance out of Juan Diego Castro, who scored 11 points along with five rebounds. Castro scored a full 35.5% of Downtown Doral's points, the fifth time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Sebastian Bueno, who scored six points along with seven rebounds.
Meanwhile, after soaring to 69 points the game before, Jewish Culture were a bit more limited in their match last Thursday. They had to suffer through a rough 69-25 loss at the hands of Dr. Krop. Jewish Culture was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 39-9.
Downtown Doral's loss dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Jewish Culture, their loss dropped their record down to 2-1.
