Westhope/Newburg's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Marleigh Henry, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and 12 rebounds, and Macy Bryans who scored 20 points along with six assists and five rebounds. Henry continues to roll, besting her previous point total in each of the last five games she's played.
Our Redeemer's Christian's victory was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 3-1. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.3 points per game. As for Westhope/Newburg, they are on a nine-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-9.
Our Redeemer's Christian will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Surrey at 7:15 p.m. on January 26th. As for Westhope/Newburg, they will head out on the road to face off against Velva at 5:45 p.m. on Monday. Velva is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last three games.
