The Kansas City Christian School Panthers suffered their biggest defeat since December 1, 2023 on Friday. They ended up on the wrong side of a rough 54-29 walloping at the hands of Heritage Christian Academy. While losing is never fun, Kansas City Christian School can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Kansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 481st, while Heritage Christian Academy is ranked 232nd).
Landon Pittman was his usual excellent self, scoring 19 points along with nine rebounds and five steals for Heritage Christian Academy. Biruk Dietz was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with seven rebounds and two steals.
Kansas City Christian School's defeat was their ninth straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 3-7. As for Heritage Christian Academy, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 7-3 record this season.
Kansas City Christian School and McLouth will face off on January 23rd without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. As for Heritage Christian Academy, they will head out on the road to challenge Lyndon on Tuesday. Lyndon is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
