The Tri-West Hendricks Bruins pushed their score all the way to 60 on Saturday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They received a tough blow as they fell 76-60 to Plainfield. Tri-West Hendricks has struggled against Plainfield recently, as their matchup on Saturday was their eighth consecutive lost matchup.
Despite the loss, Tri-West Hendricks still got an impressive performance from Max Robertson, who scored 24 points along with eight rebounds. Those 24 points set a new season-high mark for him. Another player making a difference was Drew Miller, who scored 12 points.
It was another big night for Collin Schmidt, who scored 23 points along with six rebounds and three blocks for Plainfield. That's the first time this season that Schmidt posted two or more blocks. The team also got some help courtesy of Chris Arvanitis, who scored 12 points.
Tri-West Hendricks' loss dropped their record down to 9-3. As for Plainfield, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 9-4 record this season.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Tri-West Hendricks and Lebanon will face off at 7:30 p.m. on January 12th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Lebanon will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Indiana Rankings (they are ranked 252nd, while Tri-West Hendricks is ranked 48th). As for Plainfield, they will head out on the road to face off against Northview at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday.
