Leigh has been on the road for three straight, but on Friday they'll finally head home. They will take on the Evergreen Valley Cougars at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Leigh focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up ten on Saturday.
Last Saturday, Leigh strolled past Lynbrook with points to spare, taking the game 59-44.
Caleb Asante continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 23 points and ten rebounds. He has been hot recently, having posted eight or more rebounds the last three times he's played. Marko Miocinovic was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with eight rebounds and two steals.
Evergreen Valley suffered their biggest loss yet this season on Wednesday. Their rough 60-39 defeat to Christopher might stick with them for a while. Evergreen Valley has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Leigh is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine matches, which provided a nice bump to their 8-5 record this season. As for Evergreen Valley, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-7 record this season.
Leigh was able to grind out a solid win over Evergreen Valley when the teams last played back in May of 2021, winning 62-54. Does Leigh have another victory up their sleeve, or will Evergreen Valley turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
