The Red Level Tigers can finally bid farewell to their three-game losing streak thanks to their game on Friday. They put the hurt on Pleasant Home with a sharp 55-32 win. The score was close at the half, but Red Level pulled away in the second half with 37 points.
Leading Red Level to victory were Amaya Williams and Mariah Crowell. Williams scored 13 points along with six steals, while Crowell scored 29 points along with six steals. That makes it nine consecutive games in which Crowell has scored at least 25% of Red Level's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Miracle Wright, who scored five points along with eight rebounds and three steals.
Red Level's win bumped their record up to 4-5. As for Pleasant Home, they now have a losing record at 6-7.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Red Level will challenge McKenzie at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. McKenzie is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'. As for Pleasant Home, they will head out on the road to face off against Straughn at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Straughn presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Pleasant Home in Alabama (Straughn is ranked 142nd, while Pleasant Home is ranked 340th).
