Maple Mountain barely beat Spanish Fork the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Golden Eagles blew past the Dons 11-4 on Friday. The result was nothing new for the Golden Eagles, who have now won 14 contests by six  runs or more  so far this season.
 Gracie Jensen spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered four earned runs on 11 hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't  given up  more than two  walks in 13 consecutive appearances.
 At the plate,  Chelsie Carter and  Kyla Donegan did most of the damage at the plate:  Carter  got on base  in three of her four plate appearances with one  home run, three  runs,  and one  stolen base, while  Donegan  went 3-for-4 with one  home run, two  runs,  and two  RBI. That's the most  hits  Donegan has posted since back in March. Another player making a difference was  Daphnee Pagano, who  went 3-for-5 with one  home run and four  RBI.
 Maple Mountain was getting hits left and right  and  finished the game having  posted a batting average of .406. They are 12-1 when  they post a batting average of .375 or better.
Maple Mountain is  on a roll lately: they've  won five of their last six matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-6 record  this season. The  wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.3 runs on average over those games. As for Spanish Fork, they now  have a losing record of 11-12.
 Both  squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Maple Mountain will venture away from home to  challenge North Sanpete  at 3:30  p.m.  on Monday. As for Spanish Fork, they will head out to  take on Salem Hills  at 3:30  p.m.  on Tuesday.
