Make it eight blowout wins for the Hartsville Red Foxes this season. They simply couldn't be stopped on Wednesday as they easily beat Myrtle Beach 53-26 on the road. The victory was familiar territory for Hartsville who now have six in a row.
Hartsville's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Brooke Mitchell, who scored 17 points along with seven rebounds and five steals. Mitchell has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last seven times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Jazzy Frierson, who scored 12 points along with six rebounds and four steals.
Hartsville's win was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 12-5. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 53.9 points per game. As for Myrtle Beach, their loss dropped their record down to 7-6.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Hartsville will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against North Myrtle Beach at 6:00 p.m. on January 12th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in South Carolina (North Myrtle Beach is ranked 61st, while Hartsville is ranked 44th). As for Myrtle Beach, they will head out on the road to face off against South Florence at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
