Adding to the longest winning streak in Delta Valley Conference this week, Elk Grove beat Rio Linda 22-14. This was the team's fifth consecutive win.
Elk Grove made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 341 from 433. They were able to move up in the ranks after a 22-14 victory over the Knights last week.
Franklin's Lamar Jackson and Jabarri Johnson have formed a dream team this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. 6-2 quarterback Jackson has thrown for 1,428 yards this season, while Johnson has 38 catches for 692 yards. Wadus Parker from Chris Nixon's team leads the league in rushing with 1,670 yards.
The Thundering Herd led the league in points allowed with 14.
