The regular season was a success, but the real challenge begins now, in the postseason. This Friday Oxbridge Academy (7-1) takes on King's Academy (7-1) in the first playoff game of the year. Oxbridge Academy is currently on a seven-game winning streak and looking to extend its dominance.
Oxbridge Academy went up against Palm Beach Lakes last week. Oxbridge Academy's defense put the team in a good position heading into the break, holding Palm Beach Lakes to a measly zero points. That gave them a 14 - 0 advantage at the half. The defense continued to do well in the second half, holding Palm Beach Lakes to six points. That ultimately gave them a 14 - 6 win.
As for King's Academy, it kept its home record unblemished after another positive outing on its own turf. Last week it came up short against Benjamin, falling 33 - 21.
A win for King's Academy would reverse both its bad luck and Oxbridge Academy's good luck. We'll see if King's Academy manages to pull off that tough task or if Oxbridge Academy keeps its momentum going instead.
