Independence moved up to 272 from 318 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in Columbus City - South. The 76ers climbed the ranks as a result of besting Walnut Ridge 40-7.
Adding to the longest winning streak in the league this week, Marion-Franklin beat South 37-12. The win marks seventh in a row for the the Red Devils.
Independence's offense was unstoppable this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Anthony Bange threw for 103 and 2 touchdowns and Iman Lowery had 89 yards receiving. On the ground Bange chipped in 129 yards. Marquise Gillyard helped Independence's passing attack out by catching 2 balls for 14 yards.

Leading the league in both passing and receiving yards, Marion-Franklin's Justin Tyler and Omar Alfred have proven to be a lethal combination. Tyler has thrown for 914 yards this season, while Alfred has 24 catches for 497 yards. DeAnte' Townsend from the 76ers leads the league in rushing with 1,599 yards.
West led Columbus City - South in scoring this week after putting up 60 points on Briggs.
