If the Springer Cardinals were riding high off their 90-35 takedown of the Paoli Pugs last Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Springer took a 40-30 hit to the loss column at the hands of Healdton on Saturday. Springer was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Healdton apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played last Tuesday.
Healdton was led to victory by Jamiel Franklin and Preston Wolf. Franklin scored 10 points along with 8 rebounds, while Wolf scored 14 points along with 3 steals. The game was Wolf's third in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Cade Ellis, who scored 6 points.
Springer's defeat dropped their record down to 5-3. As for Healdton, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 4-1.
Springer will head out on the road to face off against Ryan at 8:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Healdton, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Wilson at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Wilson is coming into the game hot, having won their last three games.
