The Trinity Blazers are taking a road trip to face off against the Rosary Royals at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. Trinity will be strutting in after a victory while Rosary will be coming in after a loss.
Trinity will roll into the game after a wild two-game stretch: they only put up one run on Wednesday, then bounced right back against Westmont on Friday. The Blazers blew past the Sentinels 11-1. That ten-run margin sets a new team best for the Blazers this season.

Gisella Corral made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out 17 batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits (and only one walk). Those 17 strikeouts gave her a new career-high. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with two runs, one double, and one RBI. That double was her first of the season.
In other batting news, Jaida Escanio and D'Asya Collins did most of the damage at the plate: Escanio went 2-for-4 with three stolen bases, two runs, and two doubles, while Collins went a perfect 3-for-3 with three stolen bases, three RBI, and one run. Those three stolen bases gave Collins a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Aly Lopez, who went 2-for-4 with one triple, one stolen base, and one run.
Trinity always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .513. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their OBP total in three consecutive matchups.
Meanwhile, Rosary lost 26-3 to De La Salle on Thursday. The Royals haven't had much luck with the Meteors recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.
Trinity moved to 3-6 with that win, which also ended their five-game losing streak. As for Rosary, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-5.
Trinity couldn't quite get it done against Rosary in their previous matchup back in April of 2023 as they fell 7-3. Can the Blazers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
